1970 Plymouth Superbird
Plymouth's companion to the wild 1969 Dodge Daytona was the Road Runner based 1970 Superbird and were the final volley in the battle of muscle car aerodynamics. These were offered to the public to qualify race versions for NASCAR. However the metal nose cone and tail wings added 400 pounds to the street legal Superbird. Superbirds were equipped with a 440 cubic inches, 390 horsepower Hemi engine and a four barrel. Factory price was $4,298.00.
